Chad President reshuffles his government

President Idriss Deby of Chad has carried out a reshuffle of his government, with Nassour Ouado remaining as prime minister.

A former opposition leader, Saleh Kebzaboh, retains a cabinet post, taking over as minister of state for mines, energy and oil.

A member of the President's Patriotic Salvation Movement, Oumar Kadjallami, becomes Defence Minister in place of Mahamar Nimir Hamata.

Correspondents say other key posts -- foreign affairs, finance, agriculture and information -- also remain in the hands of members of Mr Deby's party.
