Fire forces Saudi jumbo jet to land in Cairo

A Saudi Arabian airliner carrying nearly three-hundred-and-fifty passengers had to make an emergency landing at Cairo airport after a fire broke out on board.

The Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 7-4-7 was travelling from Jeddah to London when the fire -- apparently caused by an electrical fault -- was discovered in the cargo section.

The crew managed to put it out before landing.

Egyptian officials said no-one was injured.
