Alleged Colombian drugs trafficker arrested
The authorities in Colombia say they have captured one of the country's leading drug traffickers, Justino Rubiano Martinez. A senior police official, General Luis Ernesto Gilibert, said Mr Rubiano Martinez was captured on Wednesday in a northern suburb of the capital, Bogota. Mr Gilibert said that Mr Rubiano Martinez is suspected of operating a number of illegal laboratories in southern Colombia used to process cocaine. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
