Cuba orders short trousers
The official Cuban radio says boys will wear shorts rather than long trousers in the next school year, so that Cuba can save money on the fabric. The radio said big savings would be made in the red material used for the manufacture of the uniforms. In addition, a new design has been introduced to make them more fashionable and more appropriate for the country's weather. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
