Roddy Forsyth reports from Tynecastle (Dur 49")
Premier Division strugglers Hibernian staged a second half fightback to snatch a two all draw with Edinburgh rivals Hearts.

Hearts started better in the blustery conditions, and were two nil up inside the first 10 minutes, with both goals scored by Steve Fulton.

In the sixth minute John Robertson held position well on the edge of the area, he fed McCann, whose cross was met by Fulton, with an intelligent looping header which caught Hibs 'keeper Chris Reid off his line.

Four minutes later Fulton doubled his tally, and Hearts' lead, after drilling past Reid following an exchange of passes with Robertson.

Hearts could have gone further ahead in the first half but they missed several chances, the most glaring of misses coming from the Frenchman Adam who miscued in the six-yard box.

Hibs came out in the second half determined to make a game of it, and they had soon clawed a goal back.

Kevin Harper made ground down the right wing, and Hearts 'keeper Gilles Rousset hesitated as he came for the cross, leaving on-loan striker Andy Walker with a simple header to make it 2-1.

They were level in the 67th minute when Pat McGinlay forced the ball home from close range from a low cross after a neat interchange of passes inside the Hearts area.

Hearts could have regained the lead, but Robertson miskicked when well placed in the 77th minute, and Hibs 'keeper Chris Reid made a fine save from a Weir header.

The draw leaves Hibs rooted to the bottom of the Premier Division, one point behind Aberdeen who have played a game more. Hearts remain in second, one point behind Rangers who play Celtic on Friday January 2.
