Greek defence minister pledges support for Albania

The Greek Defence Minister, Akis Tsohatzopoulos, has promised continued support to Albania in its efforts to reorganise its military structure.

Among the projects to get support will be the rebuilding of naval facilities, which were damaged during civil disturbances in Albania earlier this year, and a new infrastructure at Rinasi military airport.

Mr Tsohatzopoulos, speaking in the Albanian capital at the end of a three-day Balkan tour, said cooperation in regional security was essential in modern times.
