Tyson to don leotard?

Mike Tyson, currently banned from the boxing ring after biting a lump out of Evander Holyfield's ear, could be about to switch to wrestling.

Representatives of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) say `Iron Mike' is in negotiations with them to appear at a show in March.

Howie Evans, a spokesman for Tyson's promoter, Don King, confirmed on Tuesday that Tyson, King and the WWF were in negotiations but said he did not know what was involved.

Tyson, who left prison in 1996 after serving three years of a six-year sentence for raping a beauty queen, is currently suspended from the ring by the Nevada State Athletics Board.

Their ban is due to be reviewed in the summer of 1998 and boxing experts predict it will be lifted in order for Tyson to fight the winner of a much-touted unification fight between Holyfield and Lennox Lewis.

But the ban does not extend to wrestling WWF says it is negotiating with Tyson to appear in Wrestlemania XIV on March 29.

WWF spokesman Jay Andronaco would not say what role the WWF has in mind for Tyson, who lost his bid to regain his title in June after he bit off part of Holyfield's right ear.
