Pakistani workers abandoned in the Gulf by factory owner
A group of Pakistani workers stranded in the United Arab Emirates say their employer, a Pakistani trader Mohammed Arefhas left them without money, food or valid visas. The workers allege that their employer abandoned his textile business owing them twelve months pay. While the twenty-two workers are pursuing the matter in a local court, in Khor Fakkan, officials at the Pakistani consulate in Dubai told the BBC the mission was doing all it could to provide them with humanitarian aid.
