Concorde to go to Cuba for first time
Cuban officials say a Concorde supersonic airliner is to land at Havana airport on Wednesday for the first time ever. Officials of the state tourism authority said the Air France Concorde would be carrying about a hundred British business executives to Cuba to explore investment opportunities. The Cubans say the visit is part of attempts to boost commercial contacts with member-states of the European Union. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
