Paris hospital denies Diana was pregnant

The Paris hospital where Diana, Princess of Wales, died after a car crash in August has denied reports that blood tests had shown that she was pregnant at the time of her death.

The denial was issued after a Spanish magazine 'Interviu' as well as several other publications printed what they said was a letter from the doctor who supervised efforts to save the princess.

The letter, addressed to French government ministers, stated that tests had shown her to be nine to ten weeks pregnant.

A hospital spokesman said the letter was a fake.

Diana died two hours after the crash in a Paris underpass in which her companion, Dodi Fayed, and the driver of the car were killed.
