Car bomb explodes in Peru
A car-bomb has exploded in the outskirts of the Peruvian capital, Lima, lightly damaging the offices of a power company owned by foreign investors. There are no reports of injuries. Police said pamphlets from the Maoist Shining Path movement had been left at the site. Correspondents say suspected guerrillas have been targetting privatised utilities in the last few months.
