Two women die in shooting spree in France
Two women have died in northern France, after a gunman fired indiscriminately at people in the street outside his home. After several hours of talks with security forces, the man was arrested at his home in the village of Charray, near Chartres. Police said he put up no resistance. Both women, and two other people who were injured, were from the same family but were not related to the gunman. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
