The wonderful thing about tigers ...

South Korea's money troubles may have meant the loss of its description as a "tiger" economy but that means nothing to this pair as they hug a 2002 World Cup football.

They are white tigers, which are believed to be the bearers of good luck in South Korea.

People in South Korea are hoping their fortunes will have improved by the time they co-host the 2002 World Cup finals with Japan.

Whether they earn their stripes on the field remains to be seen.

The two tigers are pictured with the ball at a farm south of Seoul.
