Iranian President to visit Turkmenistan
President Khatami of Iran is due in Turkmenistan tomorrow Sunday, to inaugurate a new gas pipeline with the Turkmenistani President Saparmurad Niyazov.
The pipeline runs from Korpedzhe, west Turkmenistan, to the Kurdkui region of northern Iran.
It will be President Khatamis's first visit abroad since taking office in August.
The visit follows talks in Turkmenistan today between the Iranian, Turkish and Turkmenistani oil ministers on a project to deliver natural gas to Europe.
