Farrakhan says lift sanctions on Iraq, Libya and Sudan

The black American Muslim activist, Louis Farrakhan, has called for Islamic unity to fight against international sanctions imposed on Iraq, Libya and Sudan.

Speaking on a visit to Niger, Mr Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam movement said that united, Muslims could secure the lifting of the United Nations embargoes.

He also urged Muslims to make the United Nations an organisation representing justice and peace, saying Islam was the religion of the twenty-first century.
