Argentine Jewish cemetery attacked

The authorities in Argentina say vandals have desecrated more than thirty graves and monuments in a Jewish cemetery in the capital, Buenos Aires.

The Minister of the Interior, Carlos Corach, condemned the incident and promised to find those responsible.

A similar attack happened a year ago at the same cemetery.

Argentine Jews have been the target of several attacks in recent years, including a bomb attack in a community centre in Buenos Aires which killed eighty-six people.
