Thai envoys not replaced
The foreign ministry in Thailand says that in a cost-saving measure, it will not replace more than seventy diplomats when they return from their present overseas postings. A spokesman said the measure will save nearly seven million dollars a year. Thailand has more than eighty embassies and consulates around the world, with a staff of about six hundred people.
