Suspected Colombian drugs baron held in Holland

A man described as a suspected leading member of the Cali drugs cartel in Colombia has been arrested by the Dutch authorities.

The man, Luis Armando Quiceno Botero -- also known as Lucho Palmira --, was arrested on the Dutch Carribean island of Curacao on Tuesday and is now in detention in Holland.

He's to be charged with organising three shipments of cocaine to Holland in the early 'nineties.

According to the Dutch prosecutor's office, he's also one of the most wanted men in the United States in connection with alleged drug-smuggling offences.
