Eight drown as boat sinks in northwest India
Eight people drowned on Thursday when a boat capsized in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan, the Indian news agency PTI reported. Police said the boat, which was carrying 14 people, sank in the Mahi river near the village of Pachwara in Banswara District. Six people swam to safety and six bodies have been recovered so far, the agency said.
