Kenya pre-election deaths
Reports from Kenya say at least two people were killed and several others injured over the weekend in the run-up to next week's general election. The worst violence was on Saturdayin the western town of Kisumu, where police said a group of opposition supporters clashed with a gang of unidentified youths. In Meru District in the east, one man was killed in a dispute over sharing money handed out by a parliamentary candidate. In a third incident, in the north eastern town of Garissa, riot police were called in when armed supporters of the ruling KANU party attacked an opposition rally, injuring ten people. ().
