Iran invites US star to film festival
The veteran American actor, Anthony Quinn, has been invited to a film festival in Iran next February. If he attends, it's thought he would be the first Hollywood star to visit Iran since the Islamic revolution in 1979. Correspondents say that Mr Quinn is popular in Iran, partly because he starred in a sympathetic film on the life of the Prophet Mohammed. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
