Kenya pre-election deaths

Reports from Kenya say five people have been killed so far in violent incidents in the the run-up to next week's general election.

A police statement read on Kenyan television said one-hundred-and-eight incidents had been recorded so far.

The worst violence was at the weekendin the western town of Kisumu, where police said a group of opposition supporters clashed with a gang of unidentified youths.
