Turkey says it killed infiltrators coming from Syria

Turkish television says five armed men have been killed in a gunfight with security forces as they were trying to cross the border from Syria.

It did not specify the nationality of the men.

Turkey has in the past accused Syria of supporting Kurdish separatist rebels in the south east.
