A dozen of Northhamptonshire's beefiest rugby players have bared all for a calendar.

Despite being more used to line-outs, rucks and mauls, all of Brackley Rugby club's first team have taken part in their very own nearly-nude photo shoot, aptly titled 'Brackley Rugby Club: Uncovered'.

The players promise that it is all in good taste and that they took part only to raise money for new premises for the club.

The idea came from the team's full-back, Richard Turvey, who is now otherwise known as Mr August.

"Every Saturday, before, during and even after the game they have always got things to say," he said.

"They all fancy themselves really and this was an ideal opportunity for them to flaunt their talents."

The calendar has been such a success that plans are already underway for a 1999 version. But whether they will go the full-monty is yet to be revealed.
