Cuban wins literary prize

The Cuban author, Rafael Benitez, has won a Spanish literary prize for short stories.

The jury praised the writer, who lives in Havana, for what it described as the urban and sensual qualities of the work called Un sotano para unas manos.

The prize is worth nearly seven thousand dollars.
