Cabinet reshuffle in Burma
The military government in Burma has announced a cabinet reshuffle following the dissolution of the former cabinet last month. The Burmese television said eight ministers had been given new ministerial responsibilities in the newly-formed Peace and Development council and a new minister, Brigadier-General Lun Thi, had been appointed for the Ministry of energy. Correspondents say this is the third major change in the Burmese cabinet in the past month. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
