North Sea helicopter crash

A Dutch helicopter carrying oil workers has crashed into the North Sea, off the Netherlands coast.

Officials from the Dutch coastguard say all eight people on board were pulled out of the water alive but one person subsequently died.

They were picked up by a ship in the area, north-west of the Frisian island of Terschelling.

Dutch television said the helicopter crashed shortly before landing on a drilling platform.

The reason for the accident is not known.
