Bosnian army condemns SFOR night raid

The army commander of the Muslim-Croat Federation in Bosnia-Hercegovina, General Rasim Delic, has condemned last night's raid by the NATO-led Stabilisation Force S-FOR on an army building in Sarajevo.

Speaking on Sarajevo Radio, General Delic said the raided building housed an army press centre, and S-FOR troops had seized documents, photographs and video-tapes which they could have obtained anyway, had they asked.

Earlier, an S-FOR spokesman described the night raid as a routine inspection in search of arms.

He said S-FOR had also provided cover for the unarmed United Nations police, which carried out a separate inspection in a neighbouring prison.
