Congo-Brazzaville refugees head home
The United Nations refugee agency has started repatriating refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Congo-Brazzaville. About three-hundred refugees -- mainly women and children -- crossed the Congo River by boat on Friday, under an agreement between the UN and the governments of Congo and the former Zaire. More than thirty thousand refugees fled Brazzaville earlier this year during the conflict which broke out in June and ended with Denis Sassou-Nguesso's victory in October.
