Mines found at Catholic church in Sarajevo

Police defused two mines left at a Catholic church in Sarajevo on Friday, the Croatian news agency HINA reported from Sarajevo .

It quoted police as saying the mines were placed at the back entrance of the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Bosnian capital's Stup district.

"A large number of believers were expected to attend the church for confession on Friday as part of preparations for Christmas," the agency said.
