More violence reported in south-west Kenya

There are reports of renewed tribal violence in the troubled Trans Mara Kisiidistrict of western Kenya which was declared a security zone yesterday.

Two paramilitary police officers and two civilians are said to have been killed, and another nine officers have been reported missing.

A district official said reinforcements were being sent to the area to search for them.

Tribal clashes in the area have left up to fifty people dead in recent weeks.
