Two tonnes of heroin found in Pakistan-made footballs
Police in Pakistan say they've found two tonnes of heroin hidden in footballs and other sports items due to be exported to European countries. The seizure was made in the eastern city of Sialkot, the site of the country's sports goods industry. Two people were arrested. Pakistan is one of the main transit routes for heroin produced from Afghan opium. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
