Burundian soldiers killed by landmine
Officials in Burundi say at least six soldiers were killed when their vehicle ran over an anti-tank mine. One report said eight soldiers had died in the incident The authorities blamed rebels from the majority Hutu population, who have been waging an escalating campaign of violence since 1993, when Tutsi paratroopers assassinated the country's first democratically-elected president, who was a Hutu.
