NATO-led forces in Bosnia-Hercegovina have detained two suspected war-criminals near the town of Vitez.
The two men were Bosnian Croats.
They were named as Vlatko Kupreskic and Anco Frundzija, both of them wanted on war crimes charges at the international tribunal in the Hague.
An S-FOR spokesman Peter Clarkesaid in a BBC interview that Kupreskic had been injured during an exchange of fire while resisting arrest; he was being treated in hospital while Frunzija was on his way to the Hague.
The spokesman gave no further details.
Vitez is a main base for British troops serving in S-FOR.
In July this year, S-FOR troops in the town of Prijedor intercepted two Bosnian Serbs suspected of war crimes, one of whom was killed while resisting detention.
