UN probe to resume into Congo massacre reports
United Nations investigators in the Democratic Republic of Congo have said after talks with Congolese government representatives that they hope to resume their work next month. The UN team is investigating reports that President Kabila's forces massacred thousands of Rwandan Hutu refugees in their campaign to overthrow the government of former Zaire. Investigators withdrew from the north-west earlier this week and returned to the capital, Kinshasa, after a big demonstration led to concern for their safety.
