Qatari trial of military officers
Seven Qataris, some of them military officers, have gone on trial in Doha accused of disclosing military state secrets. Defence lawyers were quoted as saying the case was linked to the failed plot to topple the Qatari emir in February last year. Proceedings were adjourned for a week after lawyers asked for time to prepare their clients' case. Last month, more than one-hundred people went on trial over the coup plot.
