Yeltsin recovers from chest infection
A spokesman for President Yeltsin says the Russian president has recovered from the chest infection which put him in hospital for the past week, and could be allowed home within the next few days. The spokesman said Mr Yeltsin's temperature and blood pressure were normal, and he was continuing his work in hospital, with a return to his normal programme in January. There's been no direct comment so far from the President's doctors. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
