Five die in Moscow freeze
Moscow continues to be gripped by some of the coldest weather on record. Overnight temperatures dropped to minus 30 degrees Celsius. Five people died on the streets as a result and many more were treated in hospital for frostbite. At least four others have died in the extreme conditions over the past few days. Forecasters say they expect the cold to ease on Wednesday. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
