Iranian dissident arrested
Members of Iran's only tolerated opposition group, the Freedom Movement, say
the group's secretary-general, Ibrahim Yazdi, has been arrested.
The authorities have not revealed any charges. The BBC Central Asia reporter says Mr Yazdi, who played a key role in the Islamic revolution in 1979, has been one of the strongest critics of Iran's conservative clerical establishment. She says Mr Yazdi's arrest appears to be related to the continuing power struggle between Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei and the moderate president, Mohammad Khatami.
