Motorists in Staffordshire are to be targeted by two new £30,000 mobile speed camera vans it has been announced.
The Staffordshire Casualty Reduction Partnership will begin using the vans next week.
It will mean the area is now patrolled by four vans in a bid to keep speeds down on routes with a history of deaths and injuries.
The vans include £15,000 worth of laser equipment and software.
The partnership says safety cameras now cover 3% of Staffordshire roads.
Jeannie Hoddinott from the partnership said: "The addition of two new vans means we will be able to reduce further speeding and in turn reduce road casualties.
"The two additional vans will ensure more of a presence on Staffordshire's roads, something which is always welcomed by local residents who often have to cope with speeding cars and dangerous roads."
