Devon pile-up victims are named
Two victims of a double fatal road accident in north Devon on Sunday have been named.

Catherine Joanne Parsons, 39, from Barnstaple, died when her Renault Clio was involved in a four-car collision on the A361 near New Town Cross.

Passenger Laura Perrin, 16, from Bickington, Barnstaple, also died and the driver of a VW Golf remains in a critical condition.

Two other 16-year-old girls in the Clio were also injured in the crash.

The driver of an Audi and three child passengers were uninjured and the driver and a passenger in a fourth vehicle, a Peugeot 405, was treated for shock.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened at 1530 BST, particularly the driver of a cream Citroen vehicle with a horsebox or trailer.
