Car is destroyed in arson attack

Police in Jersey are investigating the destruction of a car after it was set on fire.

It was one of two vehicles parked outside a house in St Clement Gardens which were damaged during an incident on Saturday night.

Both the cars had tyres slashed and a window was broken on one of the vehicles just before 2330 GMT.

But one car was then set on fire just after 1700 BST on Sunday and completely destroyed as a result.

Police are appealing for any witness who saw either the tyres being damaged or the car being set on fire.
