Fire crews tackle chemical spill
More than 50 firefighters have been dealing with a chemical spillage in the Black Country.

Fifteen crews were sent to Corus on the B4180 Leys Road, Brierley Hill, at around 1915 BST on Wednesday.

It is thought the leak was caused by a small hole in a 35-tonne tank at the site, causing a cloud of hydrochloric acid to escape, giving off fumes.

No-one was injured and residents were advised by the fire service to close all windows and doors.

A fire service spokeswoman said fire crews in protective clothing were transferring the acid to a secure tanker lorry.
