Man killed on pedestrian crossing
An 80-year-old disabled man has died after he was hit by a car as he used his motorised buggy on a pedestrian crossing in Leamington Spa.

Warwickshire Police said the man was injured at the junction of Beauchamp Avenue and Kenilworth Road at about 1330 BST on Sunday.

He was taken to Warwick Hospital where he died that night.

The car involved in the crash was being driven by a 73-year-old woman from Stoney Stanton in Leicestershire.

Police said they would not be naming the man until his relatives had been informed.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
