Murder charge follows leg find
A man has been charged with the murder of a missing man whose leg was found in a river.

The leg, found in the River Witham at Antons Gowt, Boston, Lincolnshire, was DNA-tested and found to belong to Ian Halls, 63, of Ipswich, Suffolk.

Police said a head and two hands recovered from the river at Tattershall on Friday were also being tested.

Michael Harvey, 49, of North Down Avenue, Manchester, has been charged with murder.

He is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court in April.

Suffolk Police said Mr Halls, of the Bramford Road area of Ipswich, had been reported missing by his family on 29 January.

The leg was recovered a week ago.
