Online help to beat road works

A new website has been set up to help motorists avoid road works in Bath and North East Somerset.

The site aims to produce a list of all major works, road closures, temporary traffic signals and travel information on events like the Bath half marathon.

An online form will be included to ask users for feedback and information, or to report problems.

The site is run by Bath & North East Somerset Council and is available as a link from their web pages.

Councillor Elgar Jenkins said: "We are delighted to launch this new website.

"It will be very useful not only to visitors to the area, but also to local motorists who need to plan their journeys."
