New machines for kidney patients
Kent and Canterbury Hospital
The extension will benefit patients from east and west Kent
An extra 20 dialysis patients a week will be able to get treatment at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital thanks to a £90,000 expansion.

The money has paid for five machines in the extended haemodialysis unit to benefit people with renal failure.

Work to refurbish the extension was also completed with the cash to create a more pleasant atmosphere for patients undergoing treatment.

People from across east and west Kent are to benefit from the facility.

Valerie Parsons, sister on the haemodialysis unit, said: "Dialysis machines are vital to those suffering with renal failure, so to be able to treat an extra 20 patients a week is such good news for the centre here at the K&C."
