Three people are being held on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed.
The incident took place at 1745 BST on Sunday in the Park Road area of Peterborough.
The wounded man, aged 27, was taken to hospital for surgery following the incident and was said to be in a stable condition on Monday morning.
Cambridgeshire Police said they had arrested three men, aged 20, 21 and 24 shortly after midnight.
They were being questioned by Cambridgeshire detectives at Thorpe Wood police station but have not been charged.
Officers said the victim was injured after what appeared to be a dispute between two groups of men outside the Royal Spice restaurant.
Detective Sergeant Dave English said: "We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of the Royal Spice restaurant or who was in Park Road early yesterday evening.
"Did you see any groups of men? Did you see the incident? Any information no matter how small or insignificant it may be could help this investigation and I would urge you to come forward to speak to the police."
