Dead man named as asylum seeker
An Iraqi man found dead in a house in Derby has been named by police.

Hicmat Ahmed Osman, 20, was found by a visitor to the house in Industrial Street in Normanton on Friday morning.

A pathologist later confirmed he had died from a single stab wound, but had also been subjected to a violent attack.

Mr Osman came to Britain to seek asylum in 2002 and had lived in Normanton for several months. Police do not think his death was racially motivated.

Inquiries into the killing are continuing.
