There were delays on the M4 in Wiltshire on Monday morning after a car overturned on the eastbound carriageway between Chippenham and Swindon.
The accident happened at about 0530 BST between J17 and J16.
Lanes two and three of the eastbound carriageway were closed to traffic for two hours and vehicles directed around the accident causing delays.
Police say all lanes have now reopened and are asking for witnesses to the accident to contact them.
